Mallorca is a balearic island located off the coast of Spain that is known for its beautiful beaches, the bustling capital city Palma and the glamorous resort of Puerto Portals where the luxury yachts moor up.

The idea behind the Sophie Valrose range stems from a local legend in the Languedoc-Roussillon that recounted a female vineyard worker that lobbied and fought for better conditions and wages for women in the wine industry who were being exploited by the wealthier landowners.
