Bijou Le Chic Grenache Rosé was named the best boxed rose by Good Housekeeping 2023. This exceptional grenache is from the foothills of the Black Mountains around the appellations of Saint Chinian, Faugères, and Coteaux de Languedoc.
The perception of boxed and bagged wine is forever changing to be in line with consumers’ needs to make more environmentally conscious choices while still enjoying a qualitative serve. Bijou’s Le Chic Sauvignon Blanc and Grenache Rosé pouches when empty weigh around 55g, ten times lighter on average than an empty standard 75cl glass bottle. The pouch’s lighter weight naturally reduces the fuel needed to transport them. Another advantage is the increased longevity of wine in this format, it will stay fresh for at least 30 days!
This would be a success without the added advantage of the compact and flexible pouch allowing for 40% more wine per pallet. Spacial economising is one of the many enticing benefits of pouch offerings. According to a study conducted in 2019 by Alko, the manufacturing of a standard glass bottle creates 664 grams of co2 per litre, whereas a pouch creates just 71 grams of co2 per litre.
Le Chic Grenache expresses notes of ripe red fruits and freshly pressed flowers. With a surprising amount of body, this pale rosé is dry and refreshing enough to support a number of dishes.
We are thrilled to be Good Housekeeping taste test approved!
