Despite the worldwide lockdown, April has been an extremely busy period for Bijou. This month we launched two new wines; our Bijou Horizon mini rosé and Bijou Le Chic Sauvignon Blanc, both of which have been extremely well received.
With all hotels, restaurants, bars and pubs shut across Europe, we’ve been delighted to see our wines being enjoyed from people’s homes on sun-drenched balconies or accompanying back-garden barbecues.
In the UK, Waitrose reported that sales of our flagship rosé, Le Bijou de Sophie Valrose, have sky-rocketed this month with the wine selling out in just two weeks.
The popularity for our rosé even reached UK newspapers after Le Bijou de Sophie Valrose was recognised as one of Ed Sheeran’s favourite wines. Moving North to Scandinavia, Norwegian women’s magazine Tara selected our star Provence rosé Bijou Ciel de Lilac in their Top 5 “perfect wines” for the summer.
