Bijou Horizon Rosé
100% Grenache – IGP Pays d’Oc
The flavour profile is very much on the ripe red fruits such as wild strawberry and redcurrant with subtle notes of cherry blossom. Our rosé is extremely pale, dry, and has a well structured, round body. A truly delicious, easy drinking summer rosé.
The inspiration for Bijou Horizon came whilst sat on the beach in the South of France overlooking the beautiful turquoise Mediterranean sea, glass of rosé in hand of course.
Bijou Horizon rosé is our down-sizing formats range; available in 75cl standard bottles, 37.5cl half bottles and 18.7cl minis. These smaller bottles are extremely convenient and easily portable making Bijou Horizon excellently suited to outdoor events (picnics, barbecues and beaches), single serve pours, restaurants, mini-bars or those of you who tend to drink less and waste less.
Viticulture and Vinification
The grapes are sourced from a balance of well tended, modern vineyards and old bush vines in arid garrigue. The Grenache grapes are harvested early in the morning to retain maximum freshness. These are quickly de-stemmed and direct pressed (pneumatic press) to gently extract the colour. The juice then undergoes a cool fermentation (12-14°C) which lasts just under three weeks.
Although this is a 100% Grenache rosé, each Grenache plot is vinified separately and then carefully blended together.
