A New Website for Award Winning Bijou Wines
Welcome to our award-winning Bijou Wines new website. We create wines from the region of Languedoc to Provence in the South of France. Our wines that we make reflect the unique climate and volcanic soils of these promising regions. Our aim is to make truly authentic wines that are delicious, elegant and complex.
Cabrières is dominated by the Pic de Vissou, an extinct volcano that provides our vineyards with very unique soil types. The hill micro-climate is significantly cooler than surrounding areas which ensures that our grapes ripen slowly. In this unique climate and the volcanic soils which give Bijou Wines their distinctive elegance, finesse and complex aromatics.
The award-winning Sophie Valrose range comes in three colours: Rosé, Rouge and Blanc. They are made from low-yielding Mediterranean grape varieties grown in and around Cabrières including Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Clairette. Our beautiful pale coloured Bijou Rosé is inspired by the delicate colours and perfumes of Provence whilst capturing summer in a glass with its strawberries and cream aromas. We also produce small amounts of Bijou Rouge a Syrah/Grenache blend that mingles blackcurrant fruit, a peppery spice and a lovely liquorice finish. Our new addition to the Bijou Wines range, Bijou Blanc, is a Grenache Blanc – Clairette blend which is full of aromas of apricot and flowers.
